Each week this note is sent out with a prayer that it will be an encouragement to someone.  But sometimes I receive one that does that for me.  One such blessing came from friends who were going through some very difficult days that, humanly speaking, did not look to be getting any better.  Yet in that note they wrote about their confidence in the Lord and “the fact that we can now see the problems does not change His ability.”  After reading that line, I thought of the words of Jeremiah 32:17, “Ah Lord God! behold, Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for Thee.”  That’s our God.  Nothing changes Him, nothing surprises Him, nothing weakens Him, and nothing perplexes Him.  And certainly, nothing is too difficult for Him.  The trouble is, we often acknowledge this truth when we try to encourage others in their trials.  Then when trials happen to us, instead of allowing the “impossible” circumstance to draw us into a deeper life of faith in an All-powerful God, we forget all the advice we’ve given.  All this ties in with something I recently read that says, “When you have nothing left but God, then you become truly aware that God is enough.”  Amen!
