It’s true you know – gone in a blink of an eye.  I’m talking about time.  As I sit to type this today, it hit me; it’s been 4 weeks since the last Pastor’s Heart, but it sure doesn’t seem like it.  The weeks clicked off before I knew it.  I’m sure you know what I’m talking about, don’t you?  No doubt we all have learned that time doesn’t stand still for anyone.  And that’s what the Lord has reminded me of this week.  It’s something familiar that we hear on a regular basis, especially around the beginning of each new year, but that doesn’t lessen the impact it should have on our schedules.  Ephesians 5:15-16 says it this way: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise; Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”  Redeeming the time.  Buying it up and using it wisely, diligently.  “I know that,” you say.  Well, so do I.  But do we live it?  Do we allow lesser things to crowd out that which is most important?  Do we mismanage the precious gift of time that God has given us?  Do we set our schedule and use our time for His glory and our growth?  Yes, time is God’s gift.  Let’s honor Him with it!
