This week I was reminded of a statement I’d read some time ago.  “Every crisis of life is a faith crisis.”  Something to think about, isn’t it?  You see, as we face the challenges that life most assuredly will bring our way, we will also be faced with the decision, “Will I trust God?”  Israel looked at the wilderness and questioned God’s ability to provide (Psalm 78:19).  Peter looked at the wind and waves and questioned the sanity of following Jesus’ command to leave the boat and walk on the water (Matthew 14:29-31).  Gideon looked at the size of the enemy’s army and questioned his call and ability to defeat them (Judges 6 & 7).  The disciples in the boat saw the great storm and questioned the Lord’s concern for them (Mark 4:37-38).  Honestly, I don’t have to read the Bible to see those who have done that.  I can look in the mirror and find one who’s done that before.  How about you?  Perhaps that’s where you are today.  Please know that your crisis isn’t only physical, financial, relational, emotional, etc.  It’s also a crisis of faith.  Can you trust God?  Will you trust God?  Will you be like Paul as he stood on the deck of a storm-tossed ship, surrounded by despairing passengers and sailors and said, “I believe God” (Acts 27:25).  How will you handle your crisis of faith?
