Equality.  It’s right there if we’ll see it.  There in the Bible.  All over the place.  It’s called the Gospel, and if we could grasp it, it would change everything.  God’s word says we are all equally sinners (Romans 3:23).  We’re all equally condemned by our sin and deserving of eternal torment (John 3:18).  We’re all completely and equally incapable of saving ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9).  In other words, we are all equally lost.  Sobering truths indeed, but equality nonetheless.  But there’s more, and that’s the good news!  We’re equally loved by God (John 3:16).  We are all equally extended the grace of God (Titus 2:11).  We’re all equally desired by God (1 Timothy 2:4).  We’re equally saved the same way: by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone – no exceptions (John 14:6).  In Christ, we’re equally forgiven (Colossians 2:13) and equally accepted (Ephesians 1:6).  For those who know Christ, we’re all equally assured to be with Him forever (Revelation 7:9).  And as believers, we are equally responsible to share this message we call the Gospel (Luke 24:46-48).  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the hope of America, and equally, it is the hope of the whole world.  As someone once said, “The ground is level at the foot of the cross.”  That’s our message.  Tell somebody today!
