We know his name, but we probably don’t remember much about him.  Hezekiah – remember him?  He was one of Judah’s godly kings, and he led his people back to a worship of the true God.  There is much about his reign that we could look at today, but it’s a summary verse that really caught my attention when it comes to King Hezekiah.  Yet more than a summary of who he was and what he did, it spoke to me as an example and, even more so, a challenge.  The verse is found in 2 Chronicles 31:21 and says, “And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.”  What a testimony!  Both his service to God and his seeking after God were done “with all his heart.”  With diligence and zeal, he sought to know and please his Lord, and that’s a needed reminder for me.  How about you?  It’s so easy to slip into routine, ritual, or just functioning.  We get going and get it done, but just to get by.  But doesn’t our Lord deserve so much more?  Doesn’t He warrant “all our heart?”  Hezekiah was all in.  What about me?  What about you?
